Skills training and education
Professionals in the health care field are required to continue their training and education for the rest of their lives. SWVAHEC works to develop new and interesting continuing education opportunities in rural communities. This results in improved patient care and enhanced collaboration with local medial professionals within the communities.
SWVAHEC works to integrate graduate training programs with local medical institutes in rural areas. This allows for medical residents, nursing, pharmacy, dental and allied health service students to participate in professional team rotations in order to benefit both their continuing education and the local communities.
